This article discusses ways to mechanize labor-intensive processes on dairy farms and complexes. In particular, the mechanization of processes (feeding, watering, milking, removal and processing of manure) is described depending on the method of keeping livestock (tethered or loose). In addition to the method of keeping, it is necessary to take into account the physiological state of the cattle, for example, during milking. Examples of milking equipment are given, taking into account all the nuances (DA-ZM and Volga, DA-2 and Mayga). The relevance of the topic at present lies in the fact that the mechanization of animal husbandry can significantly reduce the cost of livestock products, since this process simplifies labor-intensive actions at the enterprise.
