Abstract. The article deals with the current problems of education and training for the agro-industrial complex of Russia: attracting young specialists to the agro-industrial complex (with specialized education in agricultural areas); improving the agricultural education process; developing a system of retraining and advanced training of agricultural workers. The focus is on the trends and important measures to improve the education and training of personnel in the agricultural sector of the economy. The theoretical basis was the legislative acts of the Russian Federation and scientific articles of Russian scientists.
