Abstract. The complex of directions of state policy in the field of ensuring food security, conceptually outlined in the content of the Doctrine of Food Security of the Russian Federation, for its implementation in practice will require an appropriate legal form. This could be the federal law "On ensuring the food security of the Russian Federation", which would outline general approaches to solving problems of ensuring food security and identify those responsible for the implementation of each direction. Taking into account clause 4 of the Doctrine of January 21, 2020, it is possible to develop regulatory legal acts in the field of ensuring food security and implementing the directions determined by the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation. At the same time, it should be noted that the legal acts being developed must comply with the requirements of legal technology and normography and not duplicate existing legislation in terms of the organization and development of agriculture and fisheries, food and processing industries, and other areas of ensuring food security.
