Abstract. The article suggests ways to identify and support gifted young people in the process of their professional implementation. New criteria of giftedness, which are manifested in young people through participation in technical competitions and project activities, are discussed. The conditions for the professional realization of young people in the Sverdlovsk region on the basis of the Ural State Agrarian University are proposed.
