In accordance with global trends, the role of regions in socio-economic development is noticeably increasing. The globalization of the economy is everywhere accompanied by its regionalization: with the blurring of national borders in modern economic processes, regions become both the main territorial economic unit and subjects of competition, up to geo-economic. State regional policy is a broader concept of regional policy. Regional policy in the Russian Federation refers to the system of goals and tasks of state authorities for managing the political, economic and social development of the country's regions, as well as the mechanism for their implementation. Regional policy regulates the relationship between the center and the regions, defines the rights and powers of administrative divisions, develops its own practice of influence of the center on the regions and, conversely, the regions on the center, enclosed in a stable or changing legal framework.
