The article summarizes the main views of the national science on the nature and structure of the managerial (as well as pedagogical) concept. On the basis of these theoretical positions the definition of the concept of professional adaptation (on the example of military personnel) as a complex of the basic provisions revealing the essence, the contents, the main stages of professional adaptation of military employees is given. The structure of professional adaptation of military personnel, including General provisions, theoretical and methodological bases, core, content and semantic content, conditions of effective functioning, criteria for evaluation of results, is developed.
